Auto Credit Based on LarryTad's Pre-WW2 Challenge (CLOSED)
A plane based on the real-life 1926 Lympne Light Aircraft Trials. This was the last of a series of light aircraft trials in the UK designed to promote small, efficient aircraft. The 1926 competition was specifically for two-seat planes with dual controls. This entry is a fairly convential biplane design with a wooden frame and staggered, wire-braced wings. The wings can be folded for ease of storage and transport (activate group 7, then move left slider down to fold wings). To reduce manufacturing costs, the upper and lower wings are identical in size and shape, with the only difference being the locking mechanism and the upper wing being fitted with slightly larger ailerons to improve handling.
