Introduction

The Salmson-Moineau S.M.1 was a bi plane recon that took to the skies (much to the horror of the pilot) in 1916 and I added that joke because it was just terrible.
It was a 3 seater recon fighter by the french and by the Salmson company.

stats

•powered by one engine (basically asking for faliure)
•3 people recon (the pilot basically has near 0 visability)
• it was worse than it's competing aircraft ,
The "sopwith ½ strutter" but was
"GOOD ENOUGH" to relieve a production order of 100.

service life...

It has a pretty short career of 1916 to 1918 where is was absolutely terrible at it's job.
The transmission kept breaking down and servicing it was a technicians nightmare.
Afew were sent to Russia to help them but russian pilots also hated it.

It was thankfully retired in 1918

HAVE FUN!!!

[It barely flies, just like irl]
