6.9 years ago
In 1939, Italian manufacturer Fiasco constructed the DE Nu. Shianto for passenger services from Milano to Berlin. The plane was very succesfull, making the cross-border trips in just 4 hours. When WW2 started however, the planes were all refurbished to enter the Luftwaffe and the Italian Air Force. In 1944, the sovjets conquered the airbase were the Shianto’s were stored. They took the planes, gave them another name, and suddenly the planes were Sovjet engineering masterpieces. The planes are still in regular service, flying from Moscow to Pyongyang for North Korea Airways.
