The natural progression of the SILK-178 was for Se Suomi Imperiumi to purchase these rugged aircraft for their military with as few alterations as possible. This aircraft serves as the backbone for regional cargo supply, troop transport and paratrooper deployment for The Finland Empire. Despite its importance it is generally poorly protected on its own with only a single dorsal gunnery position to engage enemies who prefer the advantage of height and speed to attack an aircraft with a wide cross section of the fuselage, wings and horizontal stabilizers. Thankfully the squadrons that operate these aircraft seldom fly into enemy territory without a fighter escort.
