Focke-Wulf Triebflugel
Focke-Wulf Triebflügel
CONTROLS
AG 1: Activates gyroscope for landing
VTOL Bar: don't touch
Landing Gear: activate/deactivate landing gear
To hover: throttle ~42%
To takeoff: throttle 100%, pitch down , and retract the landing gear
To land: head in the direction of the landing spot and lower throttle, then activate 1 when you are close to the landing spot. It lands like a helicopter. If you'll takeoff again, deactivate 1.
This thing has terrible handling XD but once you get use to it, it becomes easier to land. If anyone can make this with better handling, that'd be great
Wikipedia
The Focke-Wulf Triebflügel, or Triebflügeljäger, literally meaning "thrust-wing hunter", was a German concept for an aircraft designed in 1944, during the final phase of World War II as a defence against the ever-increasing Allied bombing raids on central Germany. It was a vertical take-off and landing tailsitter interceptor design for local defense of important factories or areas which had small or no airfields.
The Triebflügel had only reached wind-tunnel testing when the Allied forces reached the production facilities. No complete prototype was ever built.

@BoxDogPuppy Thanks for the spotlight!
When you say some stupid idea but decide to take it to the end
I saw this plane in total tank simulator. Glad it is in simple planes!
Plane instruction: dont touch vtol
Me:(i wonder why)touches vtol
@BobTheTitanSP Thanks) Will know! Wont say its a pity you have more points, though))))
@vonhubert Thanks! You can only spotlight people who have less points than you
It's a pity that it seems hard to fly probably only due to game engine limitations. But it's still awesome! Would like to spotlight, but don't know why i can't.
@BobTheTitanSP thxs
@88blaroo I think this guide will help you
@typeZERO Thanks! Getting this hunk of junk to fly was the hardest thing to do when I made it
Beautiful Concept on how to land.. :D
Though as expected of any Focke-Wulf Triebflugel builds to have TERRIBLE handling... :P
Upvoting!! :D
@BobTheTitanSP how do you guys build these kind of planes?
I have been trying to build this
@JelloAircraftCorporation He's probably busy doing other personal things or he probably just got bored
@BobTheTitanSP
Whatever happened to Skua? Did he just quit?
@BobTheTitanSP no worries
@zap210 Wow It got into a youtube video haha
Check it out!
youtube
@JelloAircraftCorporation Haha I remember when Skua released his trieblugel. His has better handling than mine lol
@BobTheTitanSP np
(Read in british accent for best effect): -puffs cigar- When I was a wee lad, the best Triebflugel we had was Skua's, bless his heart.-sniffs- You children are spoiled, getting all the best creations delivered straight to your doorstep. Highly detailed too.-scoffs- Back then, if you wanted an obscure aircraft, you had to settle for whatever you could find, dear boy! None of this "choice" nonsense. Well, I'm off to play a game of bridge now. Cheerio, lad.
@TheGuyYouMightKnow @Roswell @jamesPLANESii Thanks!
@BlazeInfinity Really? I've been doing that for a long time and I never knew that. Now I feel like an idiot :P
Wow this is a really awesome concept!
Amazing!
