A hastily designed fighter built with what was available. The only available engine being a small turbo jet left over from a business jet meant that a total of five of them were required to give acceptable performance. The five engines were loosely grouped in the tail, hence the name, which brought about the requirement of the unusual fuselage. The result was a fighter which, while not the most agile or the best looking, was incredibly resiliant. Indeed a couple of engines could be knocked out without seriously damaging the ability to fly safely or get home
