Description
The Mack MB was a cabover truck type produced from 1963-1978, and came in various different chassis lengths made for city transport, refuse collection, tanking and even firefighting. The models included the MB-401, MB-402, MB-403, MB-410, MB-477, MB-483, MB-487, MB-491, MB-492, MB-605, MB-606, MB-607, MB-609, MB-611 and MB-685. However since the variants were generally only different in engine types, they were simply labeled MB-400 or MB-600. This particular vehicle was operated by the Pyramid Mountain Lumber mill in Seeley Lake, Montana as a water truck driven by our very own MrSilverWolf. It was used to spray down the piles of sawdust and dirt that accumulated around the mill and saw a good run until the engine exploded in (if memory serves) 2019. None of the gauges in the cab worked, and we're not even sure if any of the lights worked, but it still ran and that's all that mattered. Old Blue will always have a place in my heart and I'm not gonna be able to hear anyone say something is old and blue without thinking of that truck. Back when it finally gave out I wasn't able to replicate it faithfully because of my supreme lack of skill, but now thanks to fuselage slicing and just my improved building ability I've managed to make a fairly faithful replica of Old Blue.
