I've been trying to creste a working autogyro for years now (since bought the game), and now anyone can easily with the new helecopter parts! I'm so happy about this. I didn't make this one very pretty or sophisticated, mainly because I want to demonstrate how easy and simple the design is. There are plenty of optimizations that could be made, but for now here's a super simplistic and easy to understand autogyro! I think something worth noting is the fact that the rotor is actually just a lifting surface. It is completely unpowered. Autogyros are designed to be extremely short takeoff and landing aircraft, and are very manueverable at low speeds. They require much, much less balancing and fine tuning than helicopters. People make homemade autogyros all the time. This one flies like a potato when compared to well made ones, handling more like a fixed-wing aircraft. I can't wait to look further into making amazing autogyros and I really hope they become a popular creation!
