This was my first aircraft I've built on Simple Planes. I built it over a year ago. It is a light, manouverable, versatile, training craft, great for new flyers.

It can easily be fitted with light bombs, rockets and missles (nothing to heavy or it will change the CoM and affect how it flies, due to the low mass to low thrust ratio). It is very easy to control, can take off vertically, and has a decent speed with 2 seperate propulsion systems, allowing for really interesting manouvers, takeoffs and landings.

Activation group 1 is for the Vtol and directional thrusters and group 2 is for the rear jet engines. If any new pilots want to try it out and get tips on flying it, like how I've successfully got it to vertically take off, message me or comment below. I might even make a video on how to fly it. Hope everyone enjoys my fun little airplane.

AG1 : Vtol engine and control
AG2: Rear jets
AG3: Parachutes
Z and X: adjust Vtol thrust angle

Tips: For the best Vtol only takeoff set Vtol angle to just a little above 3/4 down on the controls, then turn engine on to max, then pull up on the pitch then activate AG1. Keep pulling up until you've reached your desired height!

Vid of me doing a VTOL takeoff: https://youtu.be/oHuTzQO_iL0

Landing with Vtol isn't as simple, but with a little practice anyone can land this fun plane with or without Vtol.

For flying, set Vtol controls all the way back for maximum speed. Using AG2 with AG1 will allow you to achieve speeds around 600 MPH at low altitudes, and 800 MHP at higher altitudes like 20000+FT

@breitling there are people who have been making theirs from the moment I posted a challenge, and aren't even halfway done. 20min build wouldn't stand a chance.

@EternalDarkness thank you, will do. Its sad, because It flies so well because it is simple lol. But thanks anyways!

It doesn't meet the requirements. Challenge asks for a realistic trainer with more than 150 parts. And seeing other entries, I'd say you wouldn't have much chance of winning anyway. I suggest taking apart other peoples builds to see how they are made, improving your technique, and entering some future contest.
