After the success of Airbus' wide-body designs, the European company sought to enter the single-aisle aircraft market. Airbus's first effort in this area was named A320, which, in addition to its excellent features, is the producer of three other successful Airbus models, namely A318, A319, and A321. Airbus considered a capacity of 150 people for the A320, which was less risky. The A320 is the first known aircraft in the world to use a fly-by-wire flight control system. In this control system, input data from the pilot is transferred to the flight surfaces. This is done by electronic signals which are faster than mechanical. Another advantage of fly by wire is that it is controlled by a computer and the human crew has less role in it. Airbus has provided an advanced electronic flight deck with 6 color screens for the A320. It should be noted that the cockpit of the A320 is the same as the other three members of the family, which has resulted in great savings both in terms of time and cost. Another innovation used in the A320, for the first time, is the use of a manual control lever instead of the normal control wheel used in airplanes. This content is copied from Tayareh's blog Airbus has also used composite materials in the A320 design. Two CFM56 and V2500 engines were considered to fly the A320. The A320 design program began in March 1982, after 5 years of study and research, it finally made its first flight on February 22, 1987, and received its airworthiness certificate on February 26, 1988. Deliveries to customers began with the delivery of the first A320 to Air France in March of the same year. The first A320 with V2500 engine was delivered to Adria Airways in May 1989. The initial production was the A320-100 model, of which only a few were made. After receiving the flight certificate in November 1988, the A320-200 model replaced the 100 model with changes such as increased take-off weight, longer range and the use of a bulkhead.
