First flight on 28 April 1933, this aircraft, compact and highly maneuverable, while not exceptionally fast, was robust, manageable and powerfully armed, for its time.

The armament included a pair of 12.7 mm (.5 in) Breda-SAFAT guns (arm them with AG1 and AG2). Each gun had an ammo capacity of 350 rounds each.

Powerplant: a 600 hp Fiat A.30R V12 liquid-cooled piston engine. It drove a 2.82 meter (9 ft 4 in) two-blade metal propeller with pitch only adjustable on the ground, not in flight.
