The M110 is the primary APC of the Paternian Army and the basis of the M112 Maui light tank. The Paternian Army wanted to replace the aging M3 Half-Tracks with a fully-tracked vehicle, and after many trials, the M112 was chosen. Notable was the option for a removable armored roof; the armored roof provided protection from shell bursts when necessary, but its removal made survival of a mine strike or RPG hit more likely.
