In 1953, The Project for an American flying wing was issued by the CEO of Fairlady. The project was named Project Javelin. The initial design of the 401 was a glider, but in 1959 the Javelin was given a set of engines that propelled it to 550mph. Sadly, in 1965 the project was cancelled due to focus on the F-39K. Only 25 examples of the 401 are in existence.
