BOX FL-0342E [Wheeled Loader]

34.8k BoxGlow  8.6 years ago

+ Pitch - Accelerate and Decelerate/Reverse
+ Yaw - To steer the truck
+ VTOL Up - Move the booms up
+ Trim - To move the bucket (load and unload stuff)

== Activation Group 1
+ Starts the Off-road Engines

+ Enjoy the cockpit view
****************************************************************
Before you start, move Trim slider all the way up then the VTOL slider 1/4 up. This is to increase the trucks ground clearance.

The main engines can only get you up to 55mph and 10° uphill

The off-road engines can get you up to 110mph and 25° uphill. beyond this the truck cannot accelerate anymore.
*****************************************************************
Who own the steering wheel? this has been on my sub-assembly list but I could not remember where I got this from. If you own this steering wheel please leave a message so I could give you a proper credit.

@BoxGlow OK it just looks so smooth like the Pistons are working

@MechWARRIOR57 it should move the bucket up/down.. but it doesnt because i probably place its rotator attachments too close to where the bucket is connected to the arm.. as a workarround, i used the rotators instead of the pistons to move the bucket.

Do the Pistons on the front really do anything?

@MechWARRIOR57 the vehicle numbers are just made up.. But the truck itself is a combination of several real truck designs.

@DarkLithium from what ive noticed, it doesnt matter how many pieces the boom is made of, if you put weight on the end it fails

@AeroEngineering Bends? Then xml the length on the fuselage so it's one part, if it's the pistons you can make prevent breaking on them...

    8.6 years ago
  • Profile image

@DarkLithium that's what I've tried. On a scale this long, the system bends too much and has a tendency to break

@AeroEngineering Best tip for the boom is to make the boom, and then the part that extends separate, the on the extender put a pston on the end and make it all disabled collision by xml. After that move the boom and extender together to get the effect you want...

@BoxGlow no. the one I showed you several days ago works. Its nota gran, its a JLG Lift. When I tried making the mechanism larger, it failed horribly. I plan on uploading that one tommorrow or sunday

@TheLatentImage Thank you!.. most of it is just aesthetics though.. I did not put many functions except the basic actions of a loader because I dont want to confuse the user with many Activ.Groups that uses VTOL and Trim sliders.
