Controls are the same as the predecessor. The Hawaii-class patrol ship is a class of gunboats operated by the Paternian Navy for brown, green, and blue water reconnaissance operations. Derived from the M. Corp Inquisitor-class patrol ship, the main differences include revised intakes for the turbine engines, revision to vessel's main armament, and Paternian electronics. Otherwise, she is the same as her Inquisitor-class sisters. 275 were in service during the GWW2, where they served mainly as patrol vessels. 15 were sunk during the course of the conflict.

One notable action was that of the PRN Guadalcanal, where she, commanded by Commander Barnes Kowalski, engaged in a mutually destructive engagement with the larger Awwami destroyer Brave. Despite the vast long-range firepower disparity between the two vessels, foggy conditions and shrewd tactical placement of the Guadalcanal allowed the Paternian Navy patrol boat to engage the Brave at much closer ranges, giving it a fighting chance. Knowing he was still outgunned, he ordered a ramming attack against the Brave, while preparing detonating charges on the magazine hold. When the ship collided with the Brave, he ordered the charges detonated. All 105 sailors and officers onboard the Guadalcanal perished in the explosion, and 192 of the 215 sailors and officers aboard the Brave were killed in the blast, as the damage inflicted to the brave was nothing less than fatal.

@MemeKingIndustriesAndMegaCorporation We're building a huge navy by procuring ships and making them more suitable to our needs.

Because we suck at building ships, and I know who can build good ships who won't mind supplying us weapons.

@Mudkip When the two ships collided, Cmdr. Kowalski waited for the two ships to lock into each other before ordering the charges to be detonated.

This detonation vaporized the Guadalcanal, which was completely destroyed. The Brave would sink five minutes later due to the fatal damage inflicted.

The destroyer Valiant and Astute made an effort to rescue any survivors, but only 23 could be found, as was many bodies. Believing the destruction of the Brave to be the result of a missile boat, torpedo boat, or naval mine, the destroyers Valiant and Astute withdrew.

Several days later, Inuit fishermen recovered many bodies, including that of Cmdr. Barnes Kowalski, still clutching the electronic detonator.

@Mudkip Cmdr. Barnes Kowalski and the crew knew they were dead.

His vessel was just as fast as the destroyer, and the destroyer was far better armed. In addition, the destroyer was accompanied by two others; Valiant and Astute. The only thing he had over the destroyer Brave was the element of surprise.

Operating in Canada, there were thousands of islands which to hide among, hampering the use of radar. His ship was relatively small, and therefore able to hide easily. The larger destroyers, who sat deeper in the water, were limited in their movement. The foggy conditions allowed his ship to close the distance of engagement. An Aurunan flag belonging to a Filipino member of the crew helped further deception.

The ships were 1000 meters away before the Aurunan was lowered and the Paternian flag raised, beginning the battle.

When the gun battle started, surprise was complete and the Brave's forward fire control unit was disabled with an opening burst from the forward 30mm cannon. Damage to the superstructure was moderate, but the ship was not put out of action.

Using the aft fire control unit and secondary analog forward fire control, the destroyer was quickly able to get the edge. Within 10 minutes, the upper works of the Guadalcanal, and movement was limited due to the damaged engine.

However, the destroyers were moving very slowly in order to avoid collision with the many uncharted hazards in the area, and the Guadalcanal was able to outpace them. The Guadalcanal was the only Paternian vessel in the area, and was able to disengage.

It was at this moment Cmdr. Kowalski, after learning that the guns were disabled but there was plenty of ammunition onboard, decided to turn the warship into an explosive battering ram after the surviving crew agreed to such. He turned towards the Brave and set it on a collision course.

The heavily damaged Guadalcanal was able to close within 700 meters before the captain of the Brave realized what they were doing. Despite the hail of gunfire, the ship continued course.
