The Japanese Soryu Class SSN Blk II is a combat enhancement package deisgned to increase firepower and lethality. As part of the japanese militaries fleet modernization program funds were budgeted to acquire 16 Soryu Class SSD's as well as update our 16 existing Hiryu Class SSN's to the Improved standard. The Improved boat moves the VLS (vertical launch system) to the rear of the conning tower and doubles capacity from 6 to 12 antiship or cruise missiles. It also opens space for more torpedos to be carried up front. She is armed with 2x533mm and 3X400mm bow mounted torpedo tubes. She also incorporates improved anachoic coatings that were found to be successful in the Hiryu Class. Gameplay edits include adjustment of the ballast to improve stability along with minor cosmetic adjustments in addition to the armament update. Throttle to go.
