CT-2a Hunter
Hello everyone! Supercraft888 here, and this is one of my most proudest creations yet. It's the first tank I've ever done with a full interior, and realistic dimensions. It's design took about 1-2/12 months to get it to work to perfection, I spent a lot a lot of hard work and time on this tank so I hope you guys enjoy it!
I also want to thank Dllama4 for helping me with the grates on the back of the tank, he put a ton of hard work into it so go check him out if you haven't already.
---Instruction---
•Pitch to move forward or backwards
•Yaw to turn left and right
•VTOL to rotate turret
•TRIM to elevate gun
---Description---
"Nothing stood in our way, nothing could, and if anything did, they were destroyed."
-Field Marshall Carter Bell
The Canadian Tank Number 2, officially Medium Tank CT-2 was the primary tank used by the Canadian Armed Forces during WW2 that replaced the aging M4 Sherman chassis. It was designed to be superior to any tank of the time. The first model rolled off the production line on July 9, 1943, and was introduced in January 21 1944. It would serve the Canadian army till the end of the war in 1949, and beyond until it was replaced by Leopard 1 tank.
The design of the CT-2 was meant to surpass every tank on the battlefield in speed, firepower, reliability, and defence. On the homefront, it was meant to be easy to produce, cheap to make, and able to be made and sent in mass quantities. The end result was the CT-2a. Subsequent designs would only improve on it and make it even more formidable.
The main armament of the CT-2 was the 76mm cannon. it provided the perfect balance between penetration, and firepower. This cannon would also be mounted on the M4a3e8. It's speed was also able to beat the already fast Chaffee and only beaten by the M18 Hellcat. It's armour was the usual homogeneous rolled steel, but it's thick (118mm) sloped armour made it extremely good at deflecting and absorbing shots. And protecting the crew inside. Not only that, but when the spaced armour kit was equipped, the tank was nearly indestructible by enemy tanks. Reliability wise, it was vastly superior to other tanks as it was nearly impossible to break down, one account of the tank said it did a 10ft drop on its turret and was still operational when it was flipped back on the right side.
"Whenever a CT-2 rolled onto the field, it was a huge moral boost to the men, becuase seeing one meant that victory was ensured."
-Commander Patrick Johnson 12th infantry division
"I saw a single CT-2 take on three Tiger tanks, it took a fourth one to actually immobilize, even then, it still killed the fourth tank."
-Sargent Anthony Smith
"The tank rides so smoothly, if I could bring this thing back home with me I so would, sucks that I can't though."

No need for all of the credit. Most of the work was done by you. I only did the grates! :)
