Lore

Thonburi is the first ship on the Thonburi II class multi-role destroyer, he was commissioned on 17th April 2040 with his sister Sri-Ayudhya. The name Thonburi was from the warship of the Royal Thai Navy which same name in 1938.
The ship "Thonburi" is referred to as "he/his" instead of the usual "she/her." This is likely because the ship's sponsor was a man, and his identity was kept private. Even though the traditional ceremonial ship launching is still happening, they chose to use male pronouns, possibly to honor the sponsor or because of cultural reasons.
