The Narukami suicide (kamikaze) bomb, type 1 is a guided flying bomb made in Japan and used in limited numbers before the surrender. (Based on Yokosuka Okha)

Development

Imperial Japan was shorthanded on skilled naval and land pilots due to multiple defeats and aircraft shootdowns, and incapabilities of Naval Rei-sen (A6M) against the Hellcat (F6F) and Corsair (F4U), the frequent losses of Kates (B5N) and Judy (D4Y; 4DY-1) in multiple airstrikes and missions against the Americans.
The kamikaze tactic was an effective tactic yet deadly for manpower against the invading and advancing Americans, and the Narukami bureau has to be forced to create a stand-off weapon against American ships: The Type 1.
The aircraft dons short wings, a rocket (jet as placeholder as for now but nvm), twin tails and a bubble canopy. It has no landing gear, this meant no return. The aircraft should be suitable to be air-launched or ground launched with a specialized detached alighting gear.

Operational History

It sank 25 merchant ships, 5 destroyers, 3 cruisers, 1 aircraft carrier.

Klee bureau reworked the aircraft into an unguided flying bomb, in service on France, then West Germany until 1960.

How to fly

1. Throttle slowly. Tends to yaw when taking off.

2. When in air, detach gear (AG1).

3. Fly towards any ship. WWII ships are a preference, please don't commit war crimes.

Type 11 (shown in build) - detachable landing gear. Ground use
