Robin-A310
A Modern Turboprop Ground Attack and COIN Air Craft:
The Design Concept:
Robin-A310 is a modern ground attack and close support/ COIN aircraft designed by Win'sWings Aeronautics in the late 2000s. This aircraft is designed to be used against a low-threat environment, such as Counter Insurgency Aircraft/ light attack aircraft.
Armament
It is armed with 2x inferno precision missiles and 14 unguided rockets from 2 rocket pods. It is also armed with 4 x 500 lbs free-falling bombs and 2 x 23mm machine guns on the wings.
Powered by the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-68C turboprop engine, 1,196 kW (1,604 hp) rotating 5 bladed propellers. Maximum speed is about 450mph.
Tricycle landing gear with the nose wheel makes it easier to land and take off than WW2-era tail dragger designs.
