Part-Efficient Aircrafts~!!

weekend chii posting in the morning, this time, a rather weirdly enough, I suppose underappreciated helicopter? idk, but the glaring lack of Mi-2s on this site is wacking, granted, she doesn't exactly have UH-1s background history of Vietnam War so I suppose calling Mi-2 "Soviet Huey" is kinda on point, but still, it's a angy-ing angy me make, but anyway, enjoy my rendition of Mil Mi-2URN

also I think I peaked with the PEA on this one, and also, I love you Polish people for making this variant cause MY GOD IT'S SO COOL AND SO FUN TO SCOOTLE AROUND AND HECKIN HECC IT STABLE AF SO I CAN SHOOT THINGS FROM FAR WAY HECC YEA

The Mil Mi-2 (NATO reporting name Hoplite) is a small, three rotor blade Soviet-designed multi-purpose helicopter developed by the Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant designed in the early 1960s, and produced exclusively by WSK "PZL-Swidnik" in Poland. Nearly 5500 were made by the time production stopped in 1999, and it remains in service globally.

[ Mi-2URN Zmija ('Viper') ]

Armed variant with a fixed 23mm NS-23 gun and two 16x57mm S-5 unguided rocket pods Mars-2. Optional 7,62mm PK machine gun window-mounted. 7 built for Polish Army in 1973 and 18 rebuilt from Mi-2US. Similar without a cannon built for East Germany.

[ Controls ]

  • Standard Helicopter Controls
  • VTOL : Collective
  • Yaw : t u r n i p

[ Guidelines ]

[ Taxiing ]

  • Collective small up, Pitch forward to move

[ Takeoff ]

  • Collective Half-up(or more)

[ Flight ]

  • Collective Half-up for level stable flight or more for faster speed/climb; Yaw to turn towards the direction you want, use roll to counteract the slip/tilt caused by yawing accordingly

[ Landing ]

  • Collective Quarter-up, use the Slip Indicator(red string forward of nose) to approximate where you are landing and if you're moving in unneeded direction

[ Armaments ]

  • 1x NS-23 23x115mm Autocannon w. 150 rounds, 690m/s(2264ft/s), 550rnds/m(9.166rnds/s)
  • 2x Mars-2 Rocket Pod (UB-16-57UMP) w.
    16x S-5K 57mm Rockets each totalling to 32x Rockets(28x in-game due to part-saving)

[ Notes ]

  • it's a rough week, but decently fulfilling
  • I love this helicopter like, A LOT, ITS WAAAY TOOOO FUN AND HELLA GOOD AT NAILING STUFF ACCURATELY
  • flight, armament, stability, it got all three in perfect balance(granted, it is small so maybe not so much armaments but still.)
  • the mock cockpit is okay-ish, but the sighting system though, mm...
  • I'm rather uncertain of the Mars-2 Rocket Pod and I'm too lazy so in-game in designer it's just Mil Mi-2URN (2x UB-16)

Free to use!

if ya want to make an airbase, or maybe make an airwing for a carrier, or maybe to help battleships lead their shells, you can add and use any of my planes (unless you claim them as your own creation, i will damp your pillows if you do.)

Want More Part-Efficient Aircrafts?

come along come along! we(yes, we.) have a lot of low part, simple, and realistic performing aircrafts for all to use and fight against! light performance cost and AI-spawnable, there's no reason not to! we have the little beloved Fuchs, the graceful Muromets, the Holy Mi-26, and... a lot of obscure aircrafts are available!!

P.S. I'm somewhat closing Community PEA submissions(for now), and I've read some of some feedbacks, i take notice of in particular of course, the lack of quality, especially people mislabelling low-part as "PEA"(yes, miss lunar, i do regret it), and i suppose the lot of it is because they dont know HOW to save part, i don't blame them, but when i get the time, i hope to create a tutorial on how to save part, since I have quite some that i want to share, anyway, toos, and see you later when i get around again, chii-se ( = w = )

hi @Monarchii, ik you have already mentioned that it's free to use above but I would like to let you know that I would like to modify this heli into an ai target. If you have an objection to this please let me know. Otherwise, it is a very well handling helicopter and I think it will make a very good basis for an ai program.
