X-40-2
The X-40-2 is one of my fictional Prototype aircraft designed to be light and agile it came from various designs ive tweeked untilI got to the current iteration of the aircraft. Its a Delta wing design incorperating a double delta wing configuration to give it longer leading edge extensions to allow for a quicker turn time and tighter turn circle with 6 wing mount MGs to give a better spread to reliably hit targets. Current galling doesn't have the fire rate the 6 MGs have. The light weight of the aircraft gives it a good power to weight ratio wich also translates to quicker acceleration. Aircraft can cobra by yanking hard on the elevators. Can depart flight if done carelessly. But gradually pulling back on the stick until its full back without snatching the stick will allow the aircraft to pull full back and reach its best turn time without going unstable in-flight. 2 radar and 2 IR missiles are mounted on the forward Edge extensions to keep the CoM from shifting. Aswell all other aspects have been tweeted to ensure that weight dose not shift as missiles are fired or fuel drained. The Marker light on top shows the Center of mass. And fuel was applied to aircraft in sections to maintain the CoM as it dose when empty weight. Any changes to the CoM can affect flight dynamics greatly any more forward and the aircraft looses turnability. Any more back and aircraft is aerodynamically unstable and will reverse cartwheel and be unflyable AG1 arrester hook for carrier. AG2 wing ordinance jettison
