[PEA] Mil Mi-24A
Part-Efficient Aircrafts~!!
or well, i guess not that part-efficient is it? 96 parts...... i have been getting rusty even though it's been only a short while, and honestly I'm also confused by how many parts it has despite it looking so simple... but hey, a rare selection, you don't see many of these around here a lot, or atleast, i don't, maybe because it's just not as iconic as the bubble boba tea canopy of the later D models(personally i like the P because yes gun), which, fair enough i suppose, but i mean look at it, its sooo iconically unique looking even if my attempt is.. kinda bad lmao, and also, I'm thinking of slightly changing my style of build in the future, mainly because apparently, in my lapse of judgement, i want to add both canopy glass, but also canopy.. riggings? you know, the steel-bar stuffs, and that adds PART so perhaps somewhere long down the line I'll probably ditch the glass canopy and opt for the old-fashioned air-canopies, you wouldn't see the glint from a kilometer away anyway lmao, and your brain fills in the glass in-between riggings so... anywaaaaay, enjoy this kinda wack 11.5t flying machine lmao, don't expect good maneuverability, umu!!
The Mil Mi-24 (Russian: ???? ??-24; NATO reporting name: Hind) is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers.[1] It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and was introduced by the Soviet Air Force in 1972. The helicopter is currently in use by 58 countries.
Hind-A; An early version of the Mi-24, which could carry eight combat troops and three crew members. It could also carry four 57mm rocket pods on four underwing pylons, four MCLOS 9M17 Fleyta (AT-2 Swatter) anti-tank missiles on two underwing rails, free-fall bombs, plus one Afanasev A-12.7 12.7mm machine-gun in the nose. The Mi-24A was the first production model.
[ Controls ]
- Standard Helicopter Controls
- do use yaw for turn, unless you want to both be a barnhouse AND not hit the side of a barnhouse, your choice
( o w o )
[ Guidelines ]
[ Taxiing ]
- VTOL down accordingly, Pitch up/down to push yourself; yaw to turn.
[ Takeoff ]
- VTOL up = weeeeee
[ Flight ]
- VTOL about halfway up(40-60% is a good range, or maybe more if you want s p e e d)
[ Landing ]
- Reduce VTOL to about 30-40% while pulling back to reduce forward speed(you can know this by relying on the red string on your cockpit, it's a slip indicator), land as about as gentle as you can, though 11.5t weight usually says no
[ Armaments ]
- 1x Afanasev A-12.7 12.7x108mm(0.5in) Machine Gun, 900rnds, 818m/s(2,683ft/s)
- 4x UB-32 Rocket Pods w. S-5KO Rockets
- 4x 9M17 "Falanga" ATGM
[ Notes ]
- built this in my spare downtime, it's not as great as i think it would've been, but for what it is? i suppose it's a decent all-rounder, minus the weight of course, though it does make it somewhat(not so much, but still) stable-ish, atleast for general area rocket barrage that is.
- how's y'all been doing?
Free to use!
if ya want to make an airbase, or maybe make an airwing for a carrier, or maybe to help battleships lead their shells, you can add and use any of my planes (unless you claim them as your own creation, i will damp your pillows if you do.)
Want More Part-Efficient Aircrafts?
come along come along! we(yes, we.) have a lot of low part, simple, and realistic performing aircrafts for all to use and fight against! light performance cost and AI-spawnable, there's no reason not to! we have the little beloved Fuchs, the graceful Muromets, the Holy Mi-26, and... a lot of obscure aircrafts are available!!
P.S. I'm somewhat closing Community PEA submissions(for now), and I've read some of some feedbacks, i take notice of in particular of course, the lack of quality, especially people mislabelling low-part as "PEA"(yes, miss lunar, i do regret it), and i suppose the lot of it is because they dont know HOW to save part, i don't blame them, but when i get the time, i hope to create a tutorial on how to save part, since I have quite some that i want to share, anyway, toos, and see you later when i get around again, chii-se ( = w = )

@126 I'm just a tenacious stubborn average builder, if that's comforting, I got there through brute force lmao, nowadays I'd say I'm much better in skill, I just don't have the motivation to make something big, so to speak
@Monarchii i see...
@126 eh, not much, the notable ones are only few, the Lada is decent, there's the Kikka, the F1M2, the BF109E-4, all fully interior and VR-capable although the cockpit is only tuned towards ease to use rather than historically correct so that should be mentioned, beside that, not really much, the ships I've made isn't really that great either, nor the planes, or anything
Cool
@Monarchii i see... also, what stuff have i missed out on? i remember when your old account still exists i remember a bunch of builds that i unfortunately didn't have the time downloading, including the lada so... im curious as to how many more builds i have missed out on.
@126 oh, I stored it on my SD Cards, which one it is though.. I have no idea, probably the earlier ones but there's like, a few someabunch lmao
@Monarchii you mentioned something about an archive for all your old builds from your now deleted old account.
@126 the uhh... PEA Archive or..?
@Monarchii completely off-topic but... where the heck is this monarchii archive that you've been talking about and where can i find it?
@Monarchii Soon, soon.
