Part-Efficient Aircrafts~!!
or well, i guess not that part-efficient is it? 96 parts...... i have been getting rusty even though it's been only a short while, and honestly I'm also confused by how many parts it has despite it looking so simple... but hey, a rare selection, you don't see many of these around here a lot, or atleast, i don't, maybe because it's just not as iconic as the bubble boba tea canopy of the later D models(personally i like the P because yes gun), which, fair enough i suppose, but i mean look at it, its sooo iconically unique looking even if my attempt is.. kinda bad lmao, and also, I'm thinking of slightly changing my style of build in the future, mainly because apparently, in my lapse of judgement, i want to add both canopy glass, but also canopy.. riggings? you know, the steel-bar stuffs, and that adds PART so perhaps somewhere long down the line I'll probably ditch the glass canopy and opt for the old-fashioned air-canopies, you wouldn't see the glint from a kilometer away anyway lmao, and your brain fills in the glass in-between riggings so... anywaaaaay, enjoy this kinda wack 11.5t flying machine lmao, don't expect good maneuverability, umu!!
The Mil Mi-24 (Russian: ???? ??-24; NATO reporting name: Hind) is a large helicopter gunship, attack helicopter and low-capacity troop transport with room for eight passengers.[1] It is produced by Mil Moscow Helicopter Plant and was introduced by the Soviet Air Force in 1972. The helicopter is currently in use by 58 countries.
Hind-A; An early version of the Mi-24, which could carry eight combat troops and three crew members. It could also carry four 57mm rocket pods on four underwing pylons, four MCLOS 9M17 Fleyta (AT-2 Swatter) anti-tank missiles on two underwing rails, free-fall bombs, plus one Afanasev A-12.7 12.7mm machine-gun in the nose. The Mi-24A was the first production model.
[ Controls ]
- Standard Helicopter Controls
- do use yaw for turn, unless you want to both be a barnhouse AND not hit the side of a barnhouse, your choice
( o w o )
[ Guidelines ]
[ Taxiing ]
- VTOL down accordingly, Pitch up/down to push yourself; yaw to turn.
[ Takeoff ]
- VTOL up = weeeeee
[ Flight ]
- VTOL about halfway up(40-60% is a good range, or maybe more if you want s p e e d)
[ Landing ]
- Reduce VTOL to about 30-40% while pulling back to reduce forward speed(you can know this by relying on the red string on your cockpit, it's a slip indicator), land as about as gentle as you can, though 11.5t weight usually says no
[ Armaments ]
- 1x Afanasev A-12.7 12.7x108mm(0.5in) Machine Gun, 900rnds, 818m/s(2,683ft/s)
- 4x UB-32 Rocket Pods w. S-5KO Rockets
- 4x 9M17 "Falanga" ATGM
[ Notes ]
- built this in my spare downtime, it's not as great as i think it would've been, but for what it is? i suppose it's a decent all-rounder, minus the weight of course, though it does make it somewhat(not so much, but still) stable-ish, atleast for general area rocket barrage that is.
- how's y'all been doing?
Free to use!
if ya want to make an airbase, or maybe make an airwing for a carrier, or maybe to help battleships lead their shells, you can add and use any of my planes (unless you claim them as your own creation, i will damp your pillows if you do.)
Want More Part-Efficient Aircrafts?
come along come along! we(yes, we.) have a lot of low part, simple, and realistic performing aircrafts for all to use and fight against! light performance cost and AI-spawnable, there's no reason not to! we have the little beloved Fuchs, the graceful Muromets, the Holy Mi-26, and... a lot of obscure aircrafts are available!!
P.S. I'm somewhat closing Community PEA submissions(for now), and I've read some of some feedbacks, i take notice of in particular of course, the lack of quality, especially people mislabelling low-part as "PEA"(yes, miss lunar, i do regret it), and i suppose the lot of it is because they dont know HOW to save part, i don't blame them, but when i get the time, i hope to create a tutorial on how to save part, since I have quite some that i want to share, anyway, toos, and see you later when i get around again, chii-se ( = w = )

@Monarchii Smolopter
@TheUltimatePlaneLover chiiter.. I AM NOT
@Monarchii Plopsmol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover smolpter?
@Monarchii Smol Plopter!
@TheUltimatePlaneLover but that's so cliché, and it'll be more cliché if I grabbed my Yak-38 too XD, I have to make something up.. plopter is too big(and heavy) for the small 200m cruiser lol
@Monarchii Ya could always use a Harrier!
When all else fails, harr
@TheUltimatePlaneLover that's fair XD, I would've assumed Helicopter Destroyer means something that destroys helicopter too XD
.
and I think I have an idea on what plane I'm gonna make for the Vyednovyy.. kinda.. cause per technical the Royal Navy doesn't have any VTOL capable fixed-wing aircrafts and the Helicopter Cruiser is an urgently pressed ship so it's mainly gonna be armed with helicopters AND subsonic scout aircraft! and that subsonic aircraft is going to be!! the La-29 from Highfleet probably
@Monarchii Ah, okey
For some reason I keep thinking of a cruiser that is a helicopter lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover maybe later, I'm still finishing up Vyednovyy(the helicopter cruiser I spoke about) but u suddenly felt lazy.. it's technically finished shape-wise excluding it doesn't actually move or floats yet.. and I still need aircraft for it.. I gotta make one later
@Monarchii
Dew the dew
It does sound epic
@TheUltimatePlaneLover it's one of my favourite, it's a competitor to the AH-64 I think? that thing is dope af, it can have chin M134.. belly turret 40mm grenade launcher... TOW missiles and rockets on its wings.. and it'll still be speedy af! God I love that thing XD
@Monarchii I've never heard of the Cheyenne until now but that's actually a pretty cool helicopter ngl (I looked it up lol)
Go at it bro I wanna see those
@TheUltimatePlaneLover kinda want my own Cheyenne now
@Monarchii *After the M-War II of course, though
Right now I'm busy grinding both War Thunder for R2Y2 (who I actually might unlock today, at least V1, yippeee) and SimplePlanes for M-War II vehicles. I actually just finished my new attack helicopter, since the (original) AH-25 and AH-26 are buggy as heck lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover oho
@Monarchii Well, better remember that for my Kikkas then (I'm gonna make a under-40-part one, a true PEA one, and a maximum one similar to my F-86F)
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I included those rockets too on the Kikka cause I thought it's nice af lol
@Monarchii Wait really? I always thought they used an oversized or supercharged carrier catapult like Angry Birds or smth
@TheUltimatePlaneLover I love that the Kikka is designed to use the bottle rockets to get to speed when takeoff tho XD
@Monarchii Ah true
But still only one cannon for Kikka adds to the silliness lol
@TheUltimatePlaneLover well, kinda makes sense in the sense that iirc they're basically kamikazes.. but given the chance, i think the standard would be atleast two cannons ad-minimum, I haven't researched it that much
@Monarchii At least in War Thunder yea
I just checked Wikipedia, turns out War Thunder gave it a glow up; the real Kikka doesn't even have a gun at all (go check it out I'm not even joking bro needs to go to Top Gun for real)!
@TheUltimatePlaneLover huh, fr?
@Monarchii
Also last week I learned Kikka only has one gun, I always thought it was two. Guess not according to WT...
