Auto Credit Based on Tribaldragon1's Bf-51 Messcherstang (update)
As World War II dragged on, the standard Luftwaffe fighter, the Bf 109, was growing increasingly obsolete. The Fw 190 was never produced in high enough numbers to compensate for this. In 1943, Herman Goering requested that Willie Messerschmitt design a new standard fighter for the Luftwaffe, the Bf 209 Falke. The Falke was designed with a bubble canopy to avoid visibility issues of traditional cockpits, and meant to be similar in function to the P-51, operating at high altitude. Can be touchy on takeoff.
