The Commonwealth class is a a series of RoRo ships designed intendedly for the Commonwealth Shipping Corporation. They were intended to compete against other local shipping companies whose ships were built from the shipyards of Sanistan and Equestrian shipbuilding companies.

History

The Commonwealth Shipping Corporation wanted to modernize it's fleet with locally designed ships rather than buying from 5-10 year old RoRo ships built by the Sanistans and Equestrians. Additionally they wanted to compete against the Eastern made ships that mostly dominated the Shipping Lines.

Class' History

MV Commonwealth I

Launched in 2088, she is the lead ship of the class. Before the beginning of her Maiden Voyage, her engines failed and left afloat at the Port of Jubilee. No Passengers were on board making it easier for the tug boats to tow her back to the shipyards. With her repairs complete, She was able to proceed to her maiden voyage and made it to Port of Briton with no problems. During her career, she was prone to flaws especially to her engines where it always fails delaying her service. The outbreak of 2nd Great War of Coalitions further delayed her service and ultimately suspending them. She returned to service in the mid year of the war, serving in her usual route. She manage to survive the war.
