SB-3-1 (Strato Bomber)

To say this was big would be an understatement… To put it into perspective, think of a big aircraft, what would you typically think of? Perhaps a 737? Nope, think bigger. A 777? Nope, bigger. An A380? Nope… Still bigger. Hughes H-4 Hercules? Nope, but if you double the wingspan, you’re pretty much there. It’s massive, better still, it can take off… On the runway!

I literally just wanted to see how big I could make something on SP and this is likely just the beginning, if my computer will allow it. This is the SB-3-1. It’s longer than it’s overkill privately uploaded counterpart, the SB-3, although I decided to downsize the bomb load because it was causing lag that wouldn’t be out of place on a Call of Duty session with bad connection.

Bombs are also hidden inside the fuselage, so they drop out the belly of the plane like… erm… you’ll see. At least they fall out without blowing up the plane though… At least when I tested it I didn’t end up suddenly on the nearest hillside. Handling is for this is nothing short of what you would expect… Imagine a house with some cardboard cut-out wings duct taped to the side with a few rockets glued to them… That’s hypothetically how this handles.

Another Strato Bomber (SB) is in the works, although it’s a substantially smaller one with STOL capability (for its size anyway). Anyway, until then… Happy Flying!!

@CaesiciusPlanes it's quite fitting for an aircraft that essentially rains hell XD

@TheOwlAce I really just thought of this as the last stand aircraft. The bringer of some kind of apocalypse. If you've beaten a countries main defences and you want to take out the whole country, this would be the plane to achieve it. For example instead of using a small fleet of B-36's, you'd just use one or two of these to deliver devastating damage to a country. But, like an AC-130, you'd need a clear path in order to utilise it effectively.

Wow this thing is huge! Been thinking of making a bomber this big but wouldnt seem really worth it in a military standpoint.

@SteadfastContracting I had a prototype of this and modded it into the bomber escort challenge a few months ago (copied the XML contents and put it into the bomber challenges XML) and I flew in the SB-2 (or SB-1 I can't remember) and it dwarfed it, like you say, I felt like I was in a fighter rather than another bomber.
