The IAR-93 Vultur / Soko J-22 Orao was a double-engine multirole jet aircraft, developed in the 1970s by Romania and Yugoslavia to become more independent from Soviet equipment. The subsonic plane was designed for close support. The Romanians also used it as a low level interceptor.
Cruising speed (at 80% throttle) 900 kph, top speed with afterburners: just short of Mach 1.

This is the Romanian interceptor version armed with two short range air-air missiles and two double barreled 23mm guns.
