The Boeing 733 SST is a supersonic airliner concept designed by Boeing in the 1960s for the U.S. government's National Supersonic Transport Program (SST). The aircraft was designed to compete with the Concorde, with a speed of Mach 2.7, a passenger capacity of approximately 250-300 people, and a range of more than 6,400 kilometers.
The Boeing 733 SST uses a variable-sweep wing design that combines high-speed flight performance with low-speed takeoff and landing capabilities. However, due to high costs, environmental issues, and insufficient market demand, the program was canceled in 1971.
