A-10 Thunderbolt II (Fairchild Republic)
(This is an updated version of my past A-10 Warthog.)
This is most likely not a 1:1 replica of the Warthog, nor is it exactly like the source material, but I like making stuff and I also like to take creative liberties.
This Twin Turbofan CAS (Close-Air Support) Bomber was developed at the height of the cold war as a counter to the Soviet's Frogfoot.
It was designed as a fail-safe in the event that the Soviets invaded West Germany. One of the projected invasion routes was through a valley near the border of West and East Germany that stretched as far as the Ukraine. This was thought to be one of the bloodiest battlegrounds if a war broke out, so America developed this jet with that area in mind for its major deployment.
CONTROLS
Group 2-3 detach missiles from pylons.
Enjoy, and happy flights!
