@RMark1 The 3d print-at-home market seems to be limited to machines that can print rough forms out of plastic. Machines that can print items with a smooth finish, especially in metal, will be very expensive for years to come.
@RMark1 I meant that 3D printing itself is in its infancy right now, and to get the finish I'd like would be expensive -- the machines that can do this cost upwards of half a million dollars at the moment. CNC machining would be a better bet, a machine that could produce this would still cost about 100,000 dollars. If I could affordably rent time on one of those, I'd be happy to learn G-code (the CNC programming language) and write the programs to build things like these. I doubt there's much of a market for stuff like this, though.
@RMark1 Have I ever... but to get the printed product to have the proper precision and smoothness, at present, would be very expensive. Correct me if I'm wrong, though.
Thanks, @RMark1
looks cosey i want to sleep on it @SledDriver
@SledDriver yup
@MAHADI A behemoth with a new, textured skin.
A Behemoth...
@DarthAbhinav Thanks.
@WEAPONSMITH How about a skinny little unarmed glider called Cirrostratus?
@Treadmill103 Drinking too much tea will do that to you...
