F-101C
The F-101 fighter is a long-range fighter developed by McDonald aircraft company of the United States in the early 1950s, developed from its earlier xf-88 aircraft.
The F-101 fighter plane was originally planned to be the escort fighter for the US strategic air force B-36 bombers. Later, the B-36 was replaced by the B-52 bombers. The US strategic air force transferred all plans of the aircraft to the tactical air force, and the production type f-101a was also handed over to the tactical air force in may 1957.
F-101c fighter
Structure enhanced low altitude combat bomber developed by type A. The engine is the same as type A. Two cannons on the right side of the nose were cancelled to add TACAN equipment. A nuclear bomb can be hung under the wing, and a nuclear bomb or a pair of 1500 liter auxiliary fuel tanks can be hung on the hanger under the fuselage. A total of 47 were produced. The first entered the 523rd Tactical Fighter Squadron of the 27th fighter bomber wing in September 1957. At the end of 1958, the US air force deployed 17 f-101cs to a Royal Air Force Base in the UK. He was discharged from active service in 1965.
