The EJ-4 Sakana was a Electronic Warfare/AWACS aircraft developed from the J636 Airframe.
The aircraft was fitted with a new electronic scanning radar that can cover up to 2 million square miles in 9 hour flight. Radar coverage was full 360 with detection range up to 300km. Aircraft was capable of Electronic Warfare, meaning it can jam enemy radar and communication effectively at around 150km of range.
Thanks for using the body of an airliner ,the EJ-4 Sakana was cheap and easy to acquire as well as having cheap maintenance.
