I'd most certainly help you by saying that you want to have the Centre of mass directly on the centre of thrust. You may want to do this by adding wait to the back. You may want to find out the minimum amount of thrust required to lift the aircraft. I hope this helped.
Ah, you have used mods on this. I'm afraid I cannot help you since I'm on IOS and like to keep it vanilla. However I could help you by redirecting you to my Duo-Copter which is pretty similar.

you may want to have a diagonal wing to help spread lift
also make sure weight is equal for front and back oor at least a little in front
try using 4 ducted and have a VTOL engine but no nozzles just rcs port it helps control the craft
