Brief introduction

HAIM-1 RaKka air-to-air missile (full name: HAIM-1 RaKka Advanced Long-range Air to air Missile, short for HAIM-1 ALRAAM) is the fourth generation air-to-air missile developed by HoshinoSudio. HAIM-1 Air-to-air Missile is a kind of semi-active radar guided air-to-air missile with all-weather and omni-directional attack. It adopts the combination of turbojet engine + solid fuel rocket engine.

Technical Characteristics

Pneumatic structure
HAIM-1 adopts titanium alloy front shell and steel rear shell to meet the requirements of aerodynamic heating and large overload. It has the characteristics of small resistance and light weight.

Guidance system
The guidance system of HAIM-1 missile is mainly composed of high-power transmitter, receiver, low sidelobe antenna and its servo mechanism, inertial reference device and electronic components. For example, the RF processor of radar receiver is clamped in the middle of flat slot array antenna by using hybrid thin film microwave integrated circuit technology, so as to eliminate the "waveguide effect" of all microwave in the receiver and reduce the weight, cost and complexity of the receiver. The guidance system adopts the combined guidance of inertial midcourse guidance and I-band (8-10ghz) active radar terminal guidance, which improves the maximum launching distance of the missile and the release distance of the aircraft. High PRF is used to measure the velocity at the long distance of the terminal segment to improve the interception distance of the seeker, while medium PRF is used to improve the resolution of the target and the ability of low altitude down looking.

Flight control system
The flight control system of ALRAAM missile adopts adaptive gain control autopilot and four independently controlled electric actuators. The control system consists of four lithium-ion battery driven electric ball screw drive units, and three pole adjustable motors.
