On June 15, 1972, Cathay Pacific Airways Flight 700Z (CV-880-22M-21) took off from Singapore Singapore International Airport, stopped at Bangkok Don Mueang International Airport in Thailand, and headed to Hong Kong Kai Tak Airport. On that day, Flight 700Z stopped at Don Mueang International Airport and was preparing to travel to Kai Tak Airport. However, during the flight, it disintegrated in mid air due to a bomb explosion. At 5:59 am that day, Flight 700Z crashed in the jungle 55 kilometers southeast of Polagu, killing all 81 people on board (10 crew members and 71 passengers).(Note: A flight attendant was originally scheduled to board flight 700Z but was unable to board due to other reasons.)
