Lockheed SST "tav" L-2000 v1.2

50.4k Stingray  6.2 years ago

Updates are Controls and SPEED: AG=1 Takeoff and landing, AG=2 hypersonic. Functional cockpit with rudder, pitch, and throttle controls. And view.

  1. The Lockheed L-2000 design entry to the US government's request for the transorbital-atmospheric-vehicle concept in the 1960's (TAV). The TAV was not funded at that time. The Jundroo collaboration builds were performed over 2 years ago by @Decrepit @Stingray and @Nickasaurus. New engine and wing controls, via a small android tablet, here. Oh, yes, the engines include minor modifications of @SledDrivers generous engine posts.

  2. BTW: this pure civilian design leaves Jundroo missile defenses frustrated. Try out Snowstone, for example. Yes, you can land the build with AG=1 active at 5 to 7 percent throttle on a standard runway. Ground steering via roll control. Enjoy.
