KYV Iofi was an armored cruiser built by the Cobalt Shipyards for the Kingdom of Shaterlot Navy. She was the lead ship of her class which included 4 more members. She and her sisters were enlarged versions of the preceeding Bruz Class Armored Cruisers. She was named after captain Rupert Iofi during the Meso Wars.

Design

Iofis were known to be upgraded version of the preceeding Bruz Class, with enlarged hull and newly installed guns. They were ordered 3 years after the Bruz Class entered. Just like the preceeding Bruz Class, they still used the same hull of the Kabe Class Pre-Dreadnoughts. They were designed to carry much powerful main armament consists of 4 MK1 9 Inch guns in 2 turrets Fore and Aft. She was armed with 16x Type 11 Mk1 3 Inch in 8 turrets installed on Port and Starboard. She was equipped with 18 Water Boilers that can produce 26,000 hp. The ships have a top speed of 27 knots.

Service History

She sailed out of Khozyayka zemli Harbor for trials which lasted from 7th of August to 14th of September. She was assigned on the Velikiy flot Korolevstva were she remained till the end of her service.
She saw active service on the 1st War of Coalitions where she provided bombardment assistance to Shaterlot Marines in land.

Battle of Southwest Ocean
The Imperial Southern Navy attempted to form a blocaked on the mouth of Gulf Republia to trap the Shaterlot and Republic Warships. Rear Admiral Ivan Karpova, commander of the Eskadril'ya Zapadnogo Korolevstva, sailed out along with the Crafitanyan Navy to intercept the ships. The Ships finally encountered each other at sunset and the 2 forces engaged. Iofi manage to ignite the decks of 3 armored cruisers of the Southern Navy. Her shots continued to fall until the Southern Warships begin to break off ending the battle. She was struck by 14 shells which damaged her 3rd funnel but did not cause ot to explode, she lost 15 men during the battle with 56 injured.

2nd Battle of Southwest Ocean
The Imperial Southern Navy once again attempted to execute the plan, fhey returned back to their original course with a larger number of ships. Once again, the combined fleet of Shaterlot and Crafitanya manage to hold off and defend the gulf. The Imperial Southern Navy broke out of the battle ending the operation. During the Battle, Iofi was struck by 24 shells, one exploded on her funnels and one exploded near her attenas. 12 of her crew died and 76 injured.

After the War, she finally able to return back to Mainlands Shaterlot for full repair and recruitment of new crews.

2nd War of Coalitions
The 2nd War of Coalitions broke out in 1827. The Shaterlot Navy once again sailed out of mainland Shaterlot in order to help their allied on the west, Iofi once again resumed her career there. The unexpected rise of Rebellic States and the numbers of Imperial Southern Forces made a great crisis for the Western Nations. The Western Nations were not fully aware that the Imperial South Grim was already preparing its forces for the new plan of annexation. This resulted for the war to be one-sided only, The Coalitions in defense while the Imperial South Grim and its client states in offense.

Battle of Gulf Republia
The Imperial South Grim Navy approached the Gulf of Republia with the intent of caprurimg it rather than making a blockade. The combined Fleet of Shaterlot Navy and Crafitanyan Navy defended the gulf for 3 hours. Unfortunately for Iofi, she was the first to be sunk, 34 minutes after the battle begins. She was torpedoed by 3 Torpedo boats 3 struck her Starboard side, 2 fore and 1 astern. She listed heavily and was followed by 2 more 1 amidships and 1 stern.
