Auto Credit Based on Tythatguy1312's F-41 Hellcat
Due to concerns over the power of the F-65, the X-70 turboprop was created in a test to see what you could do with a propeller in the space age. Gaining the nickname "Transonic Turboprop" by test pilots it uses the same configuration as the Hellcat that came before. When it became clear that the F-65 was a superior design the X-70 was put on hold, but later revived as a guinea pig design. Seen here in it's 1982 configuration it was capable of 700mph, or up to 904mph in 200mph winds. For legal reasons I cannot release its current status. Hooks on 1
