RJ Euroattacker "Tempest"
So after spending a week at the end of RAF Conningsby's runway watching Typoons takeoff (99% of the time with dry thrust) I thought it was a shame that such an awesome fighter was having to be used on ground attack missions and wouldnt it be neat to have a smaller single engine Tiffy without all the extra weight and faff that just isnt needed for ground attack?
So here we have the Tempest with its single EJ250 jet engine (without re-heat), armed with 2 AGM 45 and 2 AGM 88 anti ground missiles this aircraft packs a punch. The aircraft has low speed variable angle intake inlets (like the Typhoon) and flies with a nose high atitude on landing. It doesnt however make the nice whooshing noise that the Tiffy has when returning to land.
Colour scheme just to give a nod to 111 squadron who used to fly Lightnings, Phantoms then Tornados etc.
AG1 for airbrake, AG2 for landing gear doors, AG7 for nav lights, LG for Landing Gear, Trim for elevator, VTOL to trim roll (if you have an uneven load, this is really handy). Working angle of attack slats (mechanism by @edensk because im too dim to work out funky trees, big thanks!). Note due to its high wing loading (ignore the SP figure, its closer to 70lbs/ft2) the nose lifts around 160kts but takes till around 200kts to get airborne, this is intentional as i thought a single engine aircraft without reheat would need some runway to get airbourne.

@RamboJutter
I did try that, but I couldn't seem to...
@ND40X use a vtol unit on an activate group and 2 small nozzles in the exhaust. If you take the scarab or my latest lighting apart you will find them.
@RamboJutter
btw, how do you do the reheat like on your Supermarine Scarab?
@RamboJutter
ok then
@ND40X I designed it for ground attack via agm's so didnt think a gun was viable. I'm sure 1 could be added in a pod on one (or both) under belly pylons.
@RamboJutter
This is nice. However, shouldn't it have had a gun, also like the Typhoon?
Beautiful
@RamboJutter right, exactly! Nice jet, it should have seen squadron service!
@ChiChiWerx now that is one of the most accurate statements I have had on a build, you could have added at the end something along the lines of, "then they bought the aircraft in from Boeing etc at an even higher cost, replacing home grown perfectly capable aircraft that now reside on a scrap pile".
This is just the thing the MoD would dream up to try and save a few million pounds. Then, 17 years into development, they’ll discover that removing an engine, the reheat and the advanced air-to-air radar is going to cost 25 million pounds more per jet than if they had just bought more Typhoons...then India will drop out of the planned buy and the per unit cost will go up another 127 million pounds. Then, when on the cusp of squadron service, the Labour Party, now in office, under the “leadership” of Jeremy Corbyn, back from political exile (for some reason no one can fathom), will ignominiously cancel the program, drag all 18 examples to the bone yard and chop the wings off while the BBC streams the event on the internet. Nice jet, BTW...
Great build . Nice plane .
Yes smaller, BUT, less POWER
@alvaroRO at high speed it fine, it's got typhoons flying top cover know anyway so you dont need as much evasion, its freed up the typhoon to do what it does best.
Very difficult turning with evasive maneuvers
@edensk finally posted it, thanks for your help.
