This was Germany's main variant of the Me-262 jet fighter, it was a fighter-bomber but mostly used as a interceptor agianst allied bombers, the 262 was revloutionary in the fact that it was the first jet used in combat and being the only jet fighter in service it outclassed it's allied counterparts in speed but being the first jet it wasn't extremely reliable, and also the fact that Germany didn't have any advanced metals to condtruct it's jet engines so it's engines were made completely out of iron and so they frequently broke, and it wasn't invincible it was shot down frequently by allied fighters in comabt, though this aircraft for all it's flaws was incredibly influential on aviation as a whole
