Curtiss P-1 Hawk
This plane is a part of my dare-to-collection of United States fighter aircraft from 1924-1948.
Curtiss P-1
Overview
The Curtiss P-1 Hawk is a single-seat fighter aircraft used by the USAAC between 1924 and 1930.
This fighter aircraft (pursuit by contemporary) features a sesquiplane wing, an open cockpit with VR-capable (?) controls and two machine guns firing from the fuselage.
Building process
While I keep my real-life replicas accurate and trying to build it as a 1:1:1 replica, I keep failing with it due to propeller
and disproportionate length of landing gear
.
Note that the tubular gunsight is missing, but the cockpit camera has a reticle for compensation.
I used the blueprint that can be seen on airwar.ru to emphasize the build.
