About his history

The Lenin
The first aircraft of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, the American "Corset" reconnaissance light bomber
The "Lenin" was the first aircraft of the Chinese Workers' and Peasants' Red Army, a US made reconnaissance light bomber called the "Kessel".
On February 16, 1930, Nationalist Air Force pilot Long Wenguang flew a "Kesai" aircraft from Hankou to Kaifeng, Henan to carry out communication and liaison missions. On the way back, he got lost in heavy fog and ran out of fuel, making an emergency landing in Xuanhuadian, Luoshan County, Henan Province (now part of Dawu County, Hubei Province). He was captured by the Red Army. After receiving education, Long Wenguang joined the Red Army. Afterwards, the plane was transferred to Xinji (now Xinxian County, Henan Province), the location of the Soviet government in the Hubei Henan Anhui Border Region. After repair, the Border Region Government named the aircraft "Lenin" and wrote the words "Lenin" on the side of the fuselage. Long Wenguang once flew a plane to the Nationalist controlled areas of Gushi and Huangchuan in Henan for reconnaissance, and dropped leaflets in Hankou. On December 22, 1931, the "Lenin" was equipped with a bomb rack to cooperate with the Red Army's operations and bomb the Nationalist Huang'an (now Hong'an, Hubei) garrison position. In July 1932, the Nationalist army launched the fourth "encirclement and suppression" campaign against the border areas of Hubei, Henan, and Anhui. The Fourth Red Army was forced to shift westward and dismantled the "Lenin" aircraft and buried it in the Dabie Mountains
