Lockheed P-38 L Lightning
[About Lockheed P-38 L Lightning]
Wikipedia
The Lockheed P-38 L Lightning was a twin-engine, single-seat fighter operated by the U.S. Army Air Corps in World War II.
It had a very distinctive three-body configuration.
It was originally developed to intercept bombers with high speed and high altitude performance.
As expected, the engine with exhaust turbine improved the performance at high altitude. Furthermore, it was also used for ground attacks due to its unique carrying capacity, and was feared by the Germans as "der Gabelschwanz-Teufel" (the twin-bodied devil). It also produced ace pilots for the U.S. Army in the Pacific theater.
[About the work]
Finally, the number of parts exceeded 800. 800 parts later, my smartphone started to heat up and scream, so I gave up adding more parts. Therefore, the painting was simplified. No nationality mark. The cockpit is also minimally reproduced.
I have not verified this because I do not have Simple Planes VR. Sorry.

Also, I will be posting my work less frequently. Sorry.
I'm so dumb I thought the burning aircraft in the thumbnail was a missile
i wanted to make a Cindy Volton custom version of this, but then the absolute unit which is the P A R T C O U N T just vibe checked that plan
The most satisfying paint job on a p38 I’ve ever seen it reminds me of watching airplane videos on YouTube when I was very little
Agreed!@Dragoranos
Can you make a mobile friendly version my phone can't handle 846 parts
Could've been my main P-38 but the part count turned me off instantly. Take an upvote though. This build is no short of being gorgeous. And I'm sure it flies just as good too.
@Kangy
Thank you so much for your thorough description, I really appreciate it!
I understand it very well. I see, so that's why most WW2 fighters have black nose tops.
I have never tried discord before. When I have a little more time on my hands, I might give it a try. I would be very happy to have your advice then :)
Make a B-25 Mitchell
@AntonWings Yeah I'll explain for you :)
Often on western aircraft in WW2 you would see large black squares over engines / fuselages, this was to stop potential reflection blinding a pilot in a critical situation.
On the P-38 the locations of anti-glare panels were around the nose, and insides of either engine.
You should get discord by the way, I would love to spend more time helping :)
Blohm & voss BV-141 WHEN ?
well done!

I think it might be fixed by setting "Physics" to "Medium" or higher in "Setting" -> "GameQuality" of the game.
Maybe if the Physics is too low, the physics will not be calculated properly and the tires will roll into the ground. I don't know why. Sorry.
@ChiChiWerx
Thank you so much!
@Kangy
Thankyou!
What is an Anti-Glare panel? If possible, I would appreciate it if you could point me to a website that would tell me what it is. Sorry for my lack of study.
It a nice plane and flys well but for me the Wheels were like sinking in the ground and did not work
Dynamically, this is very good. Flies very well, not unrealistically as so many other builds. Accelerates…and decelerates realistically. Loses speed in the turns. Takes off and lands well. Nice work.
I haven't flown it
But you only missed one thing, the anti-glare panels!
They're located around the fuselage and on either side of the engine facing inwards.
This looks like a seriously good build though
@GabrielSatori @Dragoranos
Thankyou!!
@GabrielSatori
Oops, I forgot to fix it. Thanks for pointing that out.
I updated the XML file and fixed the bug.
Oh, there's also an error with the tails, both tails turn in and out when yaw, not at the same directions to yaw the plane.
One word:
Perfect
Oh wow, the first plane with more than 800 parts that my potato laptop can run with minor lags, not at like 2 fps. Love your works buddy.
