A replica of the US Bomber B-17 flying fortress, more specifically the B-17 42-37800 that was named "Piccadilly Lilly II", a machine with great history and many successes in missions until it was destroyed beyond repair in a crash.
AG1 openes the bomb bay
AG2-5 are one turret control each (from front to back, the one on top must be turned to central position before sweeping from side to side, or you will mess up the built in mechanism to prevent shooting the plane)
AG6 for the remaining defensive MGs
Bomber vision included, recommended altitude 5500 ft
The B-17 was requested by 808REKT

@ACMECo1940 thanks
nice
@temporaryaccount dunno. I build when I want to and what I feel like ^^
I've got nothing in progress right now. Also I am very stressed with school currently.
@Rodrigo110 @temporaryaccount please keep peace! It is not like temoraryaccount was wrong or insulting. It is only that I wasn't going for perfect realism, I just wanted to build a quick B-17 to test my fond Idea on. I can't build perfect planes because I am too bad at it anyways.
I suggest you stop complaining about small details unless you could do any better (which you definitely can’t) and simply appreciate this great creation! @temporaryaccount
@temporaryaccount they are small compared to the work I had with the writing and also I don't give a sh*t.
@temporaryaccount I've seen the successors. I do not remake things for such small details though. I'd rather build new things ^^
@temporaryaccount don't know about the wings. white camo paint - yes it did but it is very hard to replicate when using custom control surfaces. Lettering on the other side - have fun the next five hours completely rebuilding this cursive fond (there is a reason why I didn't bother with it after finishing one side).
redo? NO.
Can you make this-(https://c1.staticflickr.com/6/5345/29362227114f35a7450ddb.jpg) @WahrscheinlichIch
@AV8R thank you
Fantastic build, very creative use of the intakes for your lettering!
@WahrscheinlichIch I figured so. Just wanted to make sure
@NativeChief1492 all the letters are put togethter fuselage intakes that are partially inside the nose
@WahrscheinlichIch How did you make those cursive c's?
h0t
@Bobplanes322 Ok, I checked yours out also and posted a comment and an UPVOTE. It's nice, and the select-able engines is a nice touch.
@sheepsblood Thank you very much! Seeing some of the other B-17s, that is a title to be proud of indeed!
Speechless......! absolutely Amazing!
That cursive..........
Amazing man!
Wow that is some spot on bombing!
Best B-17 SimplePlanes Award goes to you!
Flight maneuvers are great too.
Amazing turret articulation.
A pleasure to have downloaded.
The Way it flies. Its like a Flying Potato. Try It. @WahrscheinlichIch
@808REKT sure, what do you want me to do specifically though? It seems quite good to me already.
