The IL-18D was a medium range passenger plane produced by Ilyushin, a russian plane company that is known for its IL-76 transporter. The IL-18D was desinged in 1956, and production started in 1958, and ended in 1979. The IL-18D could carry some 90 passengers in comfort. The Il-18D was quite a remarkable plane, and airlines quickly obtained the IL-18D’s some 125 were in passenger service by 1960. It was also capable of carrying freight. around 36 entered freight service. The russian airlines that operated them made a memorial to remember this marvelous aircraft in moscow.
