Kh-59 Cruise missile
Kh-59 Oval (Russian: ?-59 ???? "Gadfly"; AS-13 "Golden Bolt") is a Russian TV guided cruise missile with two-stage solid fuel propulsion system and a range of 200km. KH-59M MOVOD-M (AS-18 "Kazoo") is a variant with a larger warhead and turbojet engine. It is mainly a ground attack missile, but the Kh-59MK variant is aimed at ships. The original design was based on Raduga KH-58 (AS-11 "Kilter"), but it had to give up [citation needed] because the missile speed was too high to get the visual target. Raduga OKB developed Kh-59 as a remote version of KH-25 (AS-10 "Karen") in 1970s, and as a precision out-of-zone weapon for Su-24M and later model MiG-27. The photoelectric sensor of this weapon and other weapons (such as KH-29 (AS-14 "KEEDGE") and KAB-500KR bomb) was developed by S. A. Zverev NPO of Krasnogorsk. It is believed that the development of Kh-59M began in 1980s. The details of Kh-59M were first disclosed in the early 1990s. Kh-59MK2 it is a weapon of Su -57, I will release it separately. Please enjoy
