At this moment, I was struck by a pang of helplessness, for our opponent was not only faster, but also invisible to our radar. I see why they call this Silent Thanatos. Fate determined that it would not pursue me that night."

The latest fighter in the Pilotmario Air Force, this machine was designed to replace the aging Hawk. It was faster and better armed than the Hawk, while incorporating advanced stealth techonology, which helps it remain undetected. While some critics objected to the unit's much higher purchase cost and its inferior maneuverability compared to the Hawk, it had lower operating costs per unit due to advances in technology.

During the Third Olympian War, the stealthiness, speed and weapons gave it the name "Silent Thanatos," after the Greek mythological personification of Death. However, pilots often refer to it as the "Copperhead", due to its resemblance to a fictional starfighter of the same name from a popular Marian sci-fi franchise.
