BACKSTORY FOR THE ORIGINAL 5 TON

In the year 1903, the Wright Brothers created an aircraft which lead to revolution around the world to improve and create new aircraft designs. In 1905, A 15 year old named David Matthew Bolton started to design his own aircraft along with his friend Nikolai Dragomir, an immigrant from Russia. They both eventually made a successful aircraft by 1909, having an aircraft that reached up to 60mph. They later entered a joint contract with the US army and British Army to have a military recon aircraft. The aircraft was then suited to military needs, and was later able to reach up to 90 mph. In 1911, the final version of the aircraft was suited with a Lewis Light Machine Gun and entered service. About 67 were ever made and have served as both trainers and as warplanes in WW1. The plane was a big deal at the time as it weighed so much, it was eventually named the Five Ton Flyer by pilots and soldiers. The aircraft served in WW1 for 2 years (1914 and 1915 by the British army) and as trainers until 1918. The Five Ton Flyers had scored a surprising number of aerial victories by the end of the war, 26, and 32 were lost in service. 2 surviving models remain: one in the National Museum of the United States Airforce and one in the Museum of Air and Space in France

BACKSTORY FOR THIS MODEL

This is the version used by 3 of the ace pilots that used the 5 ton flyer. Instead of having a lewis gun, it has 2 vickers water-cooled machine guns. It also has 6 bombs and an upgraded engine, which was given to 7 pilots, 3 just had the red stripes and vickers guns. It's called the 6 ton because of the extra weight added from the upgrades, and thus is 6 tons instead of 5. This model was used by 3 ace pilots of 5 ton and 1 of the planes used by the aces is actually the same one on display in France. 10/10 for description, it is truly unique, and love how much detail went into the description
8/10 for fun, although it doesn't fly too well, I still love it because of its old style design
