The Alfons-class aircraft had various problems that needed to be addressed. The most notable of which was its need for two shelves of wings in order to fly, along with it being pretty difficult and uncomfortable to control as opposed to other aircraft. These problems were fixed with the Hulderic-class, which fixed all of these problems at the cost of the aircraft having a larger target profile. It served well alongside the Zhizhang, being a short-range fighter that could deal a heavy hit.
