The BS56-100 is a regional turboprop airliner designed for short-haul routes. The BS56-100 shares similarities with the ATR-72 family, ATR-42 family, and the Dash-8/Q400 in both range, capacity, and routes. The BS56-100 has 8 blades per engine.
